Dear District 7780 Rotarians,

We are inviting club presidents, Visioning Champions and others interested in the Vision to Planning process to attend a workshop on Thursday, April 24th. We are primarily focused on clubs that have gone through the Vision process. and who are working on the next steps. This is a collective working meeting to:

1.  Discuss where we stand as a District,  including successes, obstacles and next steps.

2. Discuss three or four key obstacles to executing the vision and successful club planning.

3. Next steps

Others who wish to learn about the process are also welcome.

Please respond to Vic Taylor at vtaylor@pointsolutions.com  or Tony Wagner  tony.bellner@gmail.com as soon as possible so that we can plan early.

This is our District's fourth in a series of Club Planning Workshops to help Visioned Clubs develop and execute long term planning after the Vision event. To date, we have 25 out of 39 District Clubs that have gone through the process, and two have done a second event   We typically have 16-17 Visioned Clubs represented by about 30 participants at these workshops.  Clubs that participated in the past asked that we continue having these workshops twice per year. Over the past two months District AG's have been canvassing the visioned clubs, and providing the District Committee with club status information.   We are compiling the data and  we will focus on the most commonly reported obstacles to progress. The discussion will hopefully help each of your clubs get to the next steps in the long term planning process.

We plan to meet socially at 4:45 PM until 5:45 PM  at the Snow Squall Restaurant, 18 Ocean St. South Portland, 799-0811.   There will be no formal refreshments provided, but instead a cash bar and appetizers for purchase will be available.

The workshop will start promptly at 6 PM and end no later than 8 PM, at the S. Portland Housing Authority Conference Room, 100 Waterman Drive, left exit off the Casco Bay Bridge from Portland.  A fee of $7 for all participants will cover costs, including pizza, salad and soft drinks.

Our next workshop will be in October. Please let us know if you or someone will represent your Club.

We hope to see you there.
