The weather was on the Vocational Service Committee's side this past Saturday as a group of Rotarians and Interactors held court by the bandstand in downtown Exeter selling apples, cider, pie, crisp and warm cider donuts. Motivated by the opportunity to raise funds for scholarships that will be provided to students of EHS, SST and Exeter Adult Ed many sales techniques were utilized including hanging out in the middle of the street, using a blow horn and dancing around in apple costumes. The enthusiasm of the Interact students made the day especially fun as did a visit from a very special volunteer, former Interact Liaison Norma McGarr. Thank you to everyone that supported the event by volunteering time and energy, especially Marianne Gearin and Dick Parker for all their work organizing the details!
